HOME STUDY OPTION
For Those Unable to Attend Classes in NYC

If you cannot attend some or all of the weekday afternoon
classes, either because you work during the day or because
you don’t live in New York City, you have the option to:

  1. Study the material from Part I (Skeletal System) and Part II
    (Muscular System)
independently -- you can begin at any time

  2. Attend Part III (Anatomy of Yoga Asana) when it is offered as
a week-long intensive in New York in June
    (see Course Calendar)

  3. The intensive meets Monday thru Saturday, from
    9:00-12:00pm and then 2:00-5:00pm

  4. The intensive is usually held at the Integral Yoga Institute,
    which is located at 227 W. 13th Street (btwn 7th & 8th)

  5. It is experiential in nature -- there will be no required
    reading or quizzes

  6. If you’re coming in from out of town, we take a 2-hour
lunch break from 12-2pm every day and finish at 5:00pm
every night, so there will be plenty of time to do a little bit
of sight-seeing or go out at night

Testimonials from Homestudy Students

Check out these testimonials from recent homestudy students:

Mary Kay Diehl (June 2011 / Homestudy graduate)
Mary Kay lives in Suffolk County, New York.  She completed Part I & II from home, and then attended the June intensive for Part III.  She says:

  1. “I would like to take the time to first thank Jason for developing, organizing and administering this incredible Anatomy Studies course.  Coming from a reputable school, having my 500-hour certification, and having attended countless workshops, I have learned more, even in a homestudy, that all of my trainings combined.  Every single piece of information reviewed, studied and reviewed again is invaluable and necessary for yoga/pilates instructors to mindfully deliver their classes. I had the opportunity to take this course as a homestudy student; the material, course work, reviews and tests were all the same as if I would have taken it at the studio. The availability of Jason is what made this course worthwhile. As many questions as I had, he always gave a clear, concise answer. Also, for future homestudiers...the audio and video bites for each lecture are posted, which was perfect! I am truly grateful to have found a teacher in Jason, and hopefully my students will reap the benefits.”

Andrea Scarborough (June 2011 / Homestudy graduate)
Andrea completed Parts I & II while in Parrot Cay, and then came to NYC to attend Part III in June.
She says:

  1. “I LOVED the ASFYT course.  I found the information mind blowing and extremely valuable. I wish I had found you years ago - although I guess we weren't ripe for the meeting until now.  Jason is the most amazing teacher - patient, kind, challenging and honest - what a pleasure it was to learn from him.  Thank you for all of your time and effort!”
